Bruce has been practicing in Palmerston North for over 30 years. A specialist in TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders, Bruce was a leading member of the team to perform New Zealand’s first total TMJ replacement surgery in 1999. Bruce operates in Palmerston North at Broadway Surgical Clinic and Crest Private Hospital, but also assists with and teaches TMJ procedures nationwide.
Bruce was the winner of the 2014 MidCentral DHB Health Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation in Health Care for a research paper on TMJ replacement in NZ.
His professional memberships are as follows ANZAOMS (Australian & New Zealand Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons), associate member of the American Society of TMJ Surgeons, full member of the NZDA (New Zealand Dental Association), fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology in the division of Forensic Odontology from the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia.
Bruce is the regional advisor for Forensic Odontology for the NZ Police and has been awarded formal recognition from the NZ Police for his assistance in the identification of victims of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami.

Originally from Hong Kong, Peter graduated from Otago University with further study undertaken at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Peter has lived and practiced in Palmerston North for twenty plus years.
He is a full member of the NZDA (New Zealand Dental Association) and ANZAOMS (Australian & New Zealand Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons), member of the Asian association of Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons, Life Fellow of the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
Peter and his wife have been major sponsors of the Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Palmerston North since its introduction in 2000. Peter is also a keen member of the Evolution band, performing annual charity concerts in aid of local charities.
Anne has over 20 years’ experience in the dental industry. Along with assisting in theatre, Anne is in charge of the sterilising department which is run on the same model as that of a hospital. Anne holds a certificate in Sterilising Technology, Level 3; and is a member of the NZ Sterile Services Association. The sterilising department and equipment at Broadway Surgical Clinic is fully compliant and audited by DAA Group to Standards NZS8164:2005 and AS/NZS4187:2014.
Kylie joined the Broadway Surgical team in 2012 after many years in the private health sector. She has vast knowledge of ACC Elective contracts and our Southern Cross Affiliated Provider Contracts.
Belinda has been part of the Broadway Surgical team for many years and originally trained as a school Dental Nurse.
A Registered Nurse, Leanne had 20 years of Emergency Department experience prior to her employment with Broadway Surgical Clinic. Leanne is the nurse who will look after you in the recovery room when you wake up from a general anaesthetic.
Steph joined the team in 2013 and also originally trained as a school Dental Nurse.
